G-Rack12 - File Permission Problems

Purpose/Background: 

To document a known workspace file permission problem on the Grack-12 server.

Symptoms:

Workspace file permissions are not inherited from a client computer.

Workflow/Resolution Steps:

A file on a client computer has rw-r--r-- unix permissions, when added into shared workspace through NFS the permissions follow. It does not inherit the permissions that the workspace was created with.
Causes usability issues when used with other protocols. Note: This can happen on SMB/CIFS also. 

Workaround: After uploading files and folders to shared workspace through the different protocols, go to Workspaces tab and open up Permissions view for the workspace and hit Apply with recursive toggled on. Do it on top level workspace and permissions will apply throughout.
