Ultrastar Data60/Data102/Serv60+8 – LSIGet 052020 (May2020) and ScrutinyCLI version 26.0.0.0 causes IOM Expander crash and enclosure storage outage

Published 09/22/2020 12:16 PM   |    Updated 10/02/2020 10:25 AM

Purpose/Background:

Running ScrutinyCLI version 26.0.0.0 from the command line non-interactively will cause a general exception expander crash.

LSIGet version 052020 also has this problem. There's an "scl" script linked to ScrutinyCLI version 26.0.0.0 that causes a general exception expander crash very early on in the lsiget script.

The general exception expander crash results in an enclosure storage outage.

Workflow/Resolution Steps:

As of this writing there is no workaround or resolution other than to avoid using ScrutinyCLI 26.0.0.0 and LSIGet 052020.
