This answer explains why a My Passport Wireless Pro all LED blinks on 1st boot after a Time Machine formatted backup.

Issue:

My Passport Wireless Pro has no response and all LED blinking blue when powered up in NAS mode after the very first Time Machine backup formats the drive as HSF+ in DAS mode.

Cause:

The intial format by Time Machine backup results in a higher than normal use of system memory when powered in NAS mode for the first time.

Solution:

Follow the below steps to resolve the issue.

While the LED are all blinking Blue:
  1. Press the power button on My Passport Wireless Pro to power off the unit.
  2. Press the power button again to power on the device.
